There are many service opportunities available through student organizations on campus. Service reflects KCOM’s commitment to the philosophy of osteopathic medicine and dedication to provide care to underserved populations. Students coordinate community outreach events which focus on health education and health promotion. Rural health fairs give students an opportunity to provide health screenings, physical examinations and consultations to community members that may lack access to healthcare. Fundraising events, as well as blood drives and bone marrow drives, are held to support areas of need.
