DO Students

Information Technology & Services

Information Technology and Services (ITS) is responsible for all computer-related technology resources at ATSU and provides students, faculty, and staff a broad range of both electronic and individual services.

ATSU Student Account

On approximately January 15, or 10 days after your acceptance fee is paid (whichever is later), you should receive an email from the ITS Help Desk with your personal login information to the ATSU portal. The portal is the access point to ATSU’s electronic resources. If you have not received this information, or if you have any questions about your student account information, or if you need assistance utilizing ATSU’s electronic resources, please contact the ITS Service Desk at http://service.atsu.edu.

Required Computing Devices for Residential Students

ATSU requires residential students to own laptop computers for use in their coursework. Additionally, ASDOH, KCOM, and MOSDOH students are required to own iPads.

ATSU does not have specific model or brand requirements for laptops. However, the ITS Department is only authorized to repair Lenovo laptops and MacBooks. Please pay close attention to the minimum specifications for computers that will connect to the ATSU network.

Please disable any Peer - Peer applications on your computer. Also make sure your laptop has an updated anti-virus program installed.

Note on minimum specs

Although the specifications outlined are allowed specs, remember they are the minimum. A computer for professional study is not a good place to economize. Technology advances quickly and ATSU stays up-to-date with those advances. Thus, if you matriculate with a computer that is several years old, you could start having issues particularly with network connectivity before you graduate.

Required iPads

MOSDOH students are required to carry iPads. Required iPads are the iPad 3, 32gb (or newer) with Apple Care. Students must purchase the iPad on their own prior to matriculation.

Setting Up Your Computer Before Orientation

Students will need to follow the steps provided to them in a letter from ITS that will be sent to all incoming students prior to orientation and matriculation.

If you have technology related questions or questions about the computer policy, please contact the ITS Service Desk at http://service.atsu.edu.
