Pinning ceremony held for OT class of 2012
Posted: September 13, 2011On Sept. 13, 32 third-year residential occupational therapy (OT) students attended a pinning and awards luncheon. The students spent the morning presenting group research projects and ended the day with an award and pinning ceremony.
The ceremony recognizes the achievements of the residential students and acknowledges their transition from the didactic portion of the curriculum into the clinical and final status as alumni.
Award winners at the luncheon included Kay Humphreys, OT ’12, and Marietta Tartaglia, ’12, Leadership Award; Veronica Contreras, OT ’12, Spirit of Occupational Therapy Award; Jennifer Dachtyl, OT ’12, Kelso Hess, OT ’12, Amanda Leach, OT ’12, and Molly McColm, OT ’12, Innovative Program Development Award; Veronica Contreras, OT ’12, Paula Tadano Memorial Scholarship Award.
