MAOPS names ATSU-KCOM associate dean 2020 Osteopathic College Medallion Award recipient

Kent Campbell, DO, ’83, associate dean and assistant professor, A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM), was recently awarded the 2020 Osteopathic College Medallion Award by the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS). Annually, MAOPS presents the award to recognize significant service by a physician or a layperson contributing to the growth, improvement, or public or professional recognition of osteopathic medicine in one of the following categories: Auxiliary Medallion, Osteopathic College Medallion, Hospital Medallion, Professional Medallion, or Public Medallion.
Dr. Campbell, who is board certified in family medicine, was recognized not only for his service to the osteopathic profession, but more specifically, his work with ATSU-KCOM students as the chapter advisor for the MAOPS student chapter on ATSU’s Kirksville, Missouri, campus. Dr. Campbell continues to stress the importance of advocacy and supporting your state association and offers constant mentorship to chapter officers and student members.
