Job Fair brings recruiters to Arizona Campus
Posted: May 11, 2009Occupational therapy, physical therapy, and audiology students mingled with potential employers at the Arizona School of Health Sciences Job Fair on May 7 on the Arizona Campus.
According to Rachel Zivney, assistant director of alumni services, it was the best recruiter turnout ever, with representatives from more than 25 companies from Oregon to Tennessee assembling in the Learning Resource Center to recruit future ASHS graduates. Jobing.com was also on hand to help students with their resume writing skills.
“Student turnout really makes the job fair a success – even if they are not in their final year of school. The job fair is about networking and ‘trying on’ a company,” said Zivney. “It is exciting to see the number of job opportunities in healthcare considering the economic crunch.”
An OT/PT job fair is planned for September 2009, and the ASDOH/SOMA job fair will be October 7, 2009.
