Jean Sidwell announces retirement from A.T. Still Memorial Library

I have spent the majority of my career at A.T. Still University (ATSU), and am fortunate to have worked with so many talented and wonderful colleagues over the years. When I began as a library clerk in November 1986, we were just a small medical library, with one computer, that supported ATSU’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine students, faculty, staff, and administration. To think, we now support ATSU’s print and electronic resources for six colleges, including two campus locations, and online! The goal of A.T. Still Memorial Library is to support the training of future healthcare professionals to effectively access and use the best evidence and information available to enable them to provide the highest quality of healthcare possible. I continue to be amazed and am blessed to be a part of this effort to provide information and education resources for so many students, faculty and staff.

Though I will miss all my colleagues and friends, I am eager for the opportunity to spend more time with family, participate in church and community activities, and for the chance to travel. My last day at work is Jan. 2, 2019.
