Get free articles from the library
Posted: August 1, 2023ATSU students, faculty, and staff are entitled to unlimited, free interlibrary loan (ILL) requests. Using our ILL service, we are able to borrow articles and book chapters from other libraries and pass them on to you at no cost. This means that you can always read an article even if we do not subscribe to the journal in question.
Never pay for an article without coming to us first!
Simply submit an ILL request via one of the methods outlined below, and we will send you a PDF of the requested article straight to your inbox.
Most ILL requests are filled within two business days, but please allow for up to 10 business days for the occasional hard-to-find item.
How to Submit an ILL Request
You may use any of the below methods to request an article (or several articles):
- Submit your request using the Ask A Librarian form
- Please include the full citation along with a DOI or PMID if available
- Submit a request within Still OneSearch
- If Still OneSearch finds an article that is not in our collection, click on the “Request this item through interlibrary loan” link and it will autofill the ILL request form with that article’s citation information
- Click on the title of an article in BrowZine – the library’s journal browsing platform
- If it is not in our collection you will be brought to an autofilled ILL request form
- Email requests directly to your campus library email or your liaison librarian
