From the Arizona campus library
Posted: November 30, 2017The Arizona campus library celebrated National Medical Librarian Month with several events organized by distance support librarian, Adrienne Brodie, MS, and library assistant, Samantha Maley, MA. Events included an open house, an app lunch and learn, a student contest with food as prizes, and several giveaways, including a study snack coupon, new library bookmarks, A.T. Still University (ATSU) branded ear plugs, and anatomy coloring pages. We also displayed a research poster about 3-D printing and two posters about library use and statistics.
Change is also afoot in the library print stacks. We have started the process of deaccessioning much of our paper-based journals and will have more space for students to study by the winter break.
Kirsty Gaither, MA, our Educational Technology Development Center director, is now hosting the ATSU online Lunch & Learns and continues to work with the Teaching and Learning Center to bring happy hour technology sessions to both campuses.
Adrienne Brodie is busy working with several faculty on literature searches and teaching several webinars on library research for our supported schools.
