Dr. Maxwell named ATSU director of IPE

After a national search, Barbara Maxwell, PT, DPT, MSc, Cert. THE, ’06, interim director of interprofessional education for A.T. Still University (ATSU), has been named director of interprofessional education (IPE) and collaboration. She will serve this position from the University’s Office of Academic Affairs.
Dr. Maxwell has been guiding interprofessional efforts at ATSU for several years. She has spearheaded IPE initiatives that encompass education, research and scholarship, community service, and clinical practice while facilitating the development of theoretically sound, competency-based, and outcome-driven, IPE projects.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in physiotherapy from the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, a Master of Science degree in research methodology from Kings College, London University, a certification from Oxford University for Teaching in Higher Education, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from ATSU.
