Dr. Huxel Bliven named editor-in-chief of Journal of Sport Rehabilitation

Kellie Huxel Bliven, PhD, ATC, professor of interdisciplinary health sciences at A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS), has been named editor-in-chief of the Journal of Sport Rehabilitation (JSR). JSR advances the understanding of all aspects of sport rehabilitation, providing an “international, multidisciplinary forum to serve the needs of all members of the sports medicine team.” Dr. Bliven has served on JSR’s editorial board for the last 12 years.

According to an announcement by Human Kinetics, JSR’s publisher, “Her experience and work in the field will allow Dr. Bliven to keep JSR on its positive trajectory, as well as explore additional initiatives in the coming years.”

“There are a lot of good researchers producing high-quality studies addressing relevant topics in sport rehabilitation,” says Dr. Bliven. “JSR is a multidisciplinary publication that serves as a platform for disseminating their work. I am excited, as editor-in-chief, to be able to support scholars with an overarching goal of translating clinically relevant evidence to improve practice and patient care.”
