The July/August 2009 issue of Audiology Today features the multigenerational story of ASHS audiology graduate Brad Murphree, Au.D.

ATSU-ASHS audiology graduate Brad Murphree, Au.D., was featured in the July/August 2009 issue of Audiology Today, the magazine of the American Academy of Audiology, as part of what is believed to be the only three-generational family of audiologists currently practicing in the United States.

Brad practices with his father, George Murphree, Au.D., in Huntsville, Ala. His grandmother Faye Churchill, 80, still practices just outside of Birmingham, Ala. In 1966, Churchill was the first ever recipient of an audiology degree at Auburn. George Murphree received his audiology degree at the University of Alabama, and completed his Au.D. at the University of Florida.

The article follows the three audiologists’ path to the profession, highlights how the profession has changed over the last 40 years, and discusses how they work together and continually learn from one another.
