ATSU’s Missouri Student Government Association presents 2025 awards, honors Lori Haxton

Haxton embraces Angelina Hein, OMS II

A.T. Still University’s (ATSU) Missouri campus Student Government Association (SGA) presented its 2025 awards Thursday, April 24.

Awards and recipients were as follows:

ATSU-Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (MOSDOH) Student Dentist of the Year, Kelly Lemus, D4

Ammar Musawi, BDS, MDS, MPH, professor, assistant dean, jokingly shakes hands with Lemus, who could not attend the event.

ATSU-KCOM/Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents (COSGP) Global Scholar of the Year, Haley Nelson, OMS III

ATSU-MOSDOH Elsie Gaber Compassion and Integrity Award, Abigail Rain Rader, D2

Students also presented special recognition to Lori Haxton, MA, vice chancellor for student affairs, who is retiring this month after more than three decades with the University. Students gathered and shared recorded messages from alumni, expressing gratitude to Haxton, and even a Cameo message from former John Kuhn, a former member of Haxton’s beloved Green Bay Packers.
