ATSU library continues to help during the Coronavirus crisis (July 2020)

Since mid-March, the library, along with the help of A.T. Still University’s (ATSU) Academic Technology department, and the Kirksville Area Technical Center (KATC) have been printing 3D face shields, ear protectors, and Montana masks for:
- ATSU’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) incoming and returning classes
- KCOM 3rd– and 4th-year students in rotations
- ATSU’s Gutensohn Clinic
- ATSU’s St. Louis Dental Clinic
- ATSU’s Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health
- ATSU’s Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health
- ATSU’s Arizona School of Health Sciences Audiology department
- Northeast Regional Medical Center
- Nursing homes near ATSU’s Missouri campus
- First responders
To date we have printed:
- Face shields: 1,228
- Montana masks: 573
- Ear protectors: 40
As per the library’s 3D printing policy, requests for PPE for departments are to be directed to Debra Loguda-Summers, public services and 3D printing services manager.
