A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine students recently traveled to Washington, D.C. to participate in DO Day on Capitol Hill, hosted by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). They met with members of Congress, urging them to support direct primary care and reauthorize the Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education Program.
At the Student Osteopathic Medical Association Spring Conference and House of Delegates, second-year student Max Stephens authored a resolution entitled “Addressing the Gender Pay Gap in the Medical Profession.” Delegates from every school debated the resolution, and it was approved by a vote. The AOA will vote on the resolution at its House of Delegates this summer.
