ATSU holds 2024 Innovation in Teaching for Learning Awards

The Teaching & Learning Center (TLC) at A.T. Still University (ATSU) held its annual Innovation in Teaching for Learning Award ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024, honoring University faculty for the creativity, dedication, and impact of innovative and transferable ideas in their teaching.

2024’s Innovation in Teaching for Learning Award winner was Sara Funk, DPT, assistant professor, anatomy, ATSU-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) for “First Patient Project.”

The first runner-up was Mitzi Wasden, DDS, MS, adjunct faculty, predoctoral education, ATSU-Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH), and Joseph Creech, DDS, adjunct faculty, predoctoral education, ATSU-ASDOH, for “Acting it Out.”

The second runner-up was Gustavo Fernandes, DDS, MSD, PhD, assistant director, SCU, associate professor, periodontics, ATSU-Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH), for “Periodontics Diagnosis.”
