ATSU-CGHS announces new chair of Public Health department

Jaana Gold, DDS, PhD, MPH, CPH, has been appointed as chair of the Department of Public Health at A.T. Still University’s College of Graduate Health Studies (ATSU-CGHS), effective Jan. 2, 2025.
Dr. Gold currently serves as a tenured full professor within the department, which she joined in 2011. She has served on numerous departmental, College-wide, and University-wide committees, including chairing the Public Health Advisory Committee and ATSU-CGHS Promotion and Tenure Committee. In 2022, she was honored with the Michael Samuels Impact award for her exceptional contributions to ATSU, particularly in public health community outreach.
Dr. Gold will succeed Mary-Katherine McNatt, DrPH, MPH, MCHES, CPH, COI, who has served as department chair since 2009. Dr. McNatt will return to her role as professor, where she looks forward to dedicating more time to teaching and research while continuing her service to ATSU-CGHS.
