ATSU audiology student wins national scholarship
Posted: May 23, 2017Congratulations to doctor of audiology student Jocelyn Caven, recipient of the American Cochlear Implant Alliance (ACI) CI2017 Scholarship Award. The scholarship to attend the 15th Symposium on Cochlear Implants in Children was awarded to 20 students nationally, encouraging scholarly and professional involvement in the area of cochlear implantation. The conference will be held in San Francisco from July 27-29.
“To me, this award represents a wonderful opportunity to work with professionals from a variety of specialties and skill sets,” says Caven. “I’m hoping to come out of the conference with more information about telehealth and working with underserved populations, as well as a better understanding of the economics and public policy surrounding pediatric cochlear implantation.”
