A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) student Ryan O’Hara, DMSc, ’21, PA-C, was recently featured in North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants’ (NCAPA) monthly blog.
O’Hara is actively involved with advocacy efforts for the physician assistant (PA) profession.
“He was a student member of NCAPA and has been a Fellow member since beginning PA practice,” according to the NCAPA article.
O’Hara works at High Point Medical Center Emergency Department and is also an adjunct professor for the High Point PA program. He told NCAPA he loves the versatility that comes with being a PA.
“The ability to change specialties and the broad education we get is what drew me to the PA profession,” O’Hara said. “The PA profession was made for situations like the COVID-19 pandemic, to go where the help is needed and to improve patient care in all aspects.”
O’Hara is currently a student with ATSU-ASHS’ Doctor of Medical Science program.
