ATSU-ASHS OT faculty host virtual high school anatomy competition

A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) faculty members Jennifer Radziak OTD, OTR/L, CHT, Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program director and assistant professor, and Kelsey Picha, PhD, ATC, associate professor of clinical anatomy in the Department of Interdisciplinary Health Sciences, hosted the second annual Anato-Bee on Saturday, Jan 25, 2025, for high school students in Arizona and surrounding states.

The Anato-Bee is a high school outreach initiative that promotes anatomy education, providing students with an interest in anatomy and healthcare professions a unique and fun opportunity to compete against their peers and test their knowledge in anatomy, embryology, histology, and diagnostic skills through a spelling-bee inspired format.

Held virtually, Anato-Bee works with local college educators to foster a greater interest in anatomical sciences. Dr. Radziak and Dr. Picha were excited to engage with students through this year’s event, fostering their passion for anatomy while also introducing them to the educational opportunities and healthcare programs at ATSU.
