ATSU-ASHS celebrates 2018 OT and PA graduates

A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) celebrated the achievements of 33 occupational therapy graduates and 68 physician assistant studies graduates from the class of 2018 at its commencement ceremony, held at the Mesa Arts Center on Friday, Aug. 3.

The graduates were congratulated by ATSU President Craig Phelps, DO, ‘84, and Dean Randy Danielsen, PhD, PA-C emeritus, DFAAPA, for their accomplishments.

Dr. Danielsen gave the graduates some sage advice from “The Four Agreements,” by Miguel Ruiz. He advised the new healthcare professionals to speak with integrity, not to take things personally, not to make assumptions, and to always do their best.

Eugene Schneller, PhD, professor at Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business and Barrett Honors College, was the commencement speaker. He told the graduates that they have an important role to play in today’s healthcare system.
