ATSU-ASHS associate professor awarded prestigious NATA emerging educator honor

A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences’ Cailee E. Welch Bacon, PhD, ATC, associate professor, Athletic Training program, has been awarded the 2022 Emerging Educator Award from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Professional Education Committee.
The Emerging Educator Award honors an individual who is an up-and-coming athletic training educator and has demonstrated excellence in values toward education and teaching abilities. The recipient excels in delivering and promoting athletic training education through various means at the local and regional levels.
“One of the characteristics that stands out about Cailee is her passion for education,” wrote Alison R Snyder Valier, PhD, AT, FNATA, professor, Athletic Training program, assistant director, Research Support, research faculty, ATSU-School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona. “Love of education, whether related to course development, curriculum planning, continuing education, student advising or research, has been a consistent theme in her growth as an educator. Cailee is more than deserving of this recognition, and I couldn’t be more excited for her to be acknowledged in this way.”
Dr. Welch Bacon is receiving her award this week at the 73rd NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo in Philadelphia.
