ATSU-ASHS’ assistant professor receives recognition from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association

A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program assistant professor Ivonne Maldonado de La Rosa, PhD, MS, CCC-SLP, has been announced as one of the 2024 recipients of the Distinguished Early Career Professional (ECP) Certificate by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Recognizing early career professionals in the fields of audiology and speech-language pathology, this prestigious recognition highlights Dr. Maldonado de La Rosa’s impact on the profession and community through her leadership, advocacy, and volunteering.

In addition to her role at ATSU, Dr. Maldonado de La Rosa also serves on the board of American Speech-Language and Hearing Association’s (ASHA) Hispanic Caucus, and as the faculty advisor for ATSU’s National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) chapter.
