ATSU-ASHS alumnus inducted into LMU Professional Hall of Fame
Posted: December 15, 2022An A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) alumnus was inducted into the Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Professional Hall of Fame on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022.
David Heath, DO, MS, ATC, DAT ’20, graduated from ATSU-ASHS’ Doctor of Athletic Training (DAT) program in 2020. He graduated from LMU in 2003 with a bachelor of science, and also received a master of science from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. In 2011, Dr. Heath graduated as a member of the inaugural class of LMU’s DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Heath is the first known individual to hold both a doctorate in osteopathic medicine and a doctorate in athletic training, according to a news release from LMU.
Currently, Dr. Heath practices emergency medicine in Massillon, Ohio. He is also a fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM).
The LMU Professional Hall of Fame honors alumni or employees who have made significant contributions and achievements in their field, and who have also been active in their field for at least 10 years.
