ATSU-ASDOH welcomes class of 2027 with white coat ceremony

A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) presented members of the class of 2027 with their white coats during a ceremony on Friday, July 14, 2023, in Mesa, Arizona. Seventy-nine students received their white coats.
The White Coat Ceremony marks the students’ entrance into the health professions, and symbolizes their commitment to the obligations of their new profession. The ceremony also addresses professional ethics and responsibilities and recognizes students for reaching such a milestone.
Robert Trombly, DDS, JD, ATSU-ASDOH dean and professor, welcomed students, their family, and friends to the ceremony, which was followed by a performance of the National Anthem by Mai-Ly Duong, DMD, MPH, MAEd, ’12, associate professor.
Heather Schneider, DMD, ’17, dental director, Delta Dental of Arizona, presented the ceremony’s keynote address. In addition, Wayne Cottam, DMD, MS, vice dean and associate professor, led students in the oath to the profession.
