ATSU-ASDOH welcomes 78 new students with White Coat Ceremony

A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) held a White Coat Ceremony on Friday, July 12, 2024, in Mesa, Arizona, recognizing the incoming members of its class of 2028.

The white coat ceremony symbolizes students’ commitment to the obligations of their new profession and recognizes them for reaching this point in their education. Characteristic of this ceremony is publicly swearing an oath acknowledging the students’ responsibility to their new profession and future patients.

ATSU-ASDOH Dean Robert Trombly, DDS, JD, welcomed 78 new students, their families, and friends to the ceremony, which was followed by a performance of the National Anthem by Mai-Ly Duong, DMD, MPH, MAEd, ’12, associate professor. Jonathan Brennan, MD, DMD, MPH, associate dean, Innovation & Curriculum, presented this year’s keynote address.
