ASHS graduation: Getting ready to celebrate!

Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) will hold its summer commencement ceremonies for distance learning and residential students on Friday, Aug. 2 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Ariz. More than 400 students will earn a master of science or doctoral degree at the ceremony.
Graduates will receive degrees in human movement, occupational therapy, advanced physician assistant studies, audiology, doctor of health sciences, and physical therapy. This is the first time distance learning students will meet each other in person, as they all acquired their degrees through online courses.
The distance learning students’ ceremony will be held at 9:00 a.m., MST, and the residential students’ ceremony will be at noon, MST. Both ceremonies will be streamed live at
Winnie Dunn, PhD, OTR, FAOTA, professor and chair of the Department of Occupational Therapy Education at the University of Kansas, will be the keynote speaker at both ceremonies. Dr. Dunn is an internationally-known expert for her studies about sensory processing in everyday life. She has published more than 100 research articles, book chapters and books, and has spoken around the world about her work.
