Arizona School of Health Sciences celebrates 20 years
Posted: January 27, 2015On Saturday, Jan. 24, ATSU’s Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) celebrated 20 years of paving the way in educating compassionate healthcare professionals.
Nearly 200 friends of ATSU – including board of trustees members, alumni, faculty, staff and students – reunited on the Arizona campus for an unforgettable afternoon of tours, presentations, lunch and family activities.
ATSU-ASHS was initially called the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine Southwest Center and based on Grand Canyon University’s campus. Two years later, it became Arizona School of Health Sciences. Today, ATSU-ASHS offers 15 residential and online degree programs and has celebrated nearly 8,000 graduates.
“As the school continues its 20th anniversary celebration this year, it is my special honor to serve as dean during this milestone event,” said Dean Randy Danielsen, PhD, PA-C, DFAAPA. “The proud history and bright future of the school are so vibrantly manifested in the classes, programs and partnerships we have developed in the past two decades.”
