Treatment of Bob Roberts

I have decided that telling you how Bob was treated will do you very little good. You will just memorize and regurgitate. I want you to find out what should be done.

Think about Bob and his problems. Consider his blood gases, the degree of consolidation of his lungs, his willingness to comply with physician instructions. What would you do and what is considered appropriate therapy of this patient? Should he be admitted to the hospital? What antibiotic treatment if any is needed and how should it be administered (e.g., oral, intravenous)? What osteopathic treatments would help this patient?

Any other concerns that may in the future need attention?

Yes

No

Do you need to go back and look at Bob again?
