Typical Pneumonia

This is not the correct diagnosis. Typical pneumonia usually has a more rapid onset of symptoms. The patient is more toxic in appearance and their temperature is normally much higher that Helen's. Shaking chills rather than night sweats are oftentimes seen in typical pneumonia.  Similarities between Helen's illness and typical pneumonia include productive sputum and hemopytosis, consolidation of the lungs, and the fact she had rales and wheezing.
