Think back to your basic sciences (if you weren't asleep)…
Klebsiella pneumoniae you would expect a productive cough with current jelly sputum. The onset would have been more rapid although you would have had a high fever. A Gram stain of the bronchoalveolar lavage would have revealed many Gram negative rods.
